CRUMB 0144 – BACK TO PAUL OR ON TO DESPAIR

Said by the apostle Paul

The final and PART – #08 of “Dispensation Under Attack”

“It’s back to Paul or on to despair”, is a statement that cannot and must not be taken lightly.

Francis Landey Patton, a theologian and the twelfth president of Princeton University, put it like this:

“The only hope of Christianity is in the rehabilitation of Pauline theology”, he so rightly stated.

“It’s back, back, back to an incarnate Christ, or else it is on, on, on to atheism and despair”.

How true this is as we see even the very fabric of Christendom breaking down in these ‘days of perplexity’.

As this ‘Age of Grace’ winds down to a close, nothing could be more important than getting on the same wagon as Paul.

For it is ‘this apostle’ who was Personally Hand-picked, by the Ascended Lord in Glory for you and I today.

Scripture clearly spells this out in [Acts 9:10-15], [Acts 22:1-21], Paul’s personal testimony, and [Romans 11:13].

Dispensation Of The Grace of God

This is the Age of the “dispensation of the Grace of God [Ephesians 3:2].

And the apostle Paul says, “which was given to me for ‘you’”.

We all, without exception, find ourselves living in this period today.

Those days of ‘under the Law’, are now long gone, they no longer apply to us.

For Christ Jesus fulfilled every legalistic demand of the Law on our behalf on the brutal cross.

There is a whole world of people out there who need to hear the true Gospel and many of them are in Churches!

They are under the bondage of religious legalism!

And legalism has ‘NO PLACE” in the true Gospel message for our personal salvation.

“Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” [1 Corinthians 15:1-4].

That’s it!

It’s heart believing FAITH + NOTHING!

And our fate is ‘sealed’ for heaven [Ephesians 1:10-14]

This is ‘Doctrinal Grace’, never revealed before the apostle Paul came on to the scene.

Grace was always that tremendous never-changing attribute of God being displayed from the moment Adam & Eve fell.

And now, because of what Christ did on the cross this same GRACE has also become indispensably ‘doctrinal’ to our salvation.

A Blood Stained Gospel

We have a “BLOOD STAINED GOSPEL”.

The Blood is the object of our faith.

Whenever we look at the Blood of Christ Jesus, we have peace with God.

For the Blood of Christ Jesus satisfies God causing our adversary the devil to tremble.

And when the angels look at the Blood, they rejoice!

“For without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins”, says the Scripture in [Hebrews9:22].

It’s one of the ‘absolutes’ of Scripture!

This is the only Gospel that releases the “Power of God” [Romans 1:16] to save those who heart-believe plus ‘NOTHING’.

The Clarity Of The Scriptures

How clearly the Scriptures, now in this ‘dispensation of Grace’, tell us that in [Romans 6:14 AMP].

For sin (that indwelling fallen sin nature) will no longer be a master over you….”

Isn’t that wonderful? And why?

“…..since you are ‘NOT’ under Law [as slaves], but under [unmerited] grace [as recipients of God’s favour and mercy].”

And this is all because of the finished works of the cross.

For that was where the sin debt of every human being was paid is full.

Divine shedding of ‘only’ Divine Blood was the required demand by Heaven, and Jesus Christ did just that.

HE was the ‘only One’ qualified to carry that out.

To get more insight into that, please refer to CRUMB 0047, it’s really worth reading.

In fact, is a ‘must read’, and a knowledge we must all indispensably have.

For when we truly understand that part, the penny drops, and so much falls into place.

We don’t need to depend on the interpretations and opinions of men, whoever they may be.

Dispensationalism – Law Vs Grace

In simple terms, dispensationalism is really just separating that which is under ‘the Law’ from that which is ‘under Grace’.

It has everything to do with “rightly dividing the Word of Truth”, which we find in [2 Timothy 2:15].

And what is important is that God through His Word has very strongly mandated it so.

Using the narrative of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar back in [Genesis], God was going to make a point.

And it would be an extremely important point God would bring up two thousand years later.

We know that God promised Abraham a son that would be conceived by Sarah, even though she was barren.

But the wheels of God, though sure, grind slowly.

However, in their humanness, they didn’t wait and decided to have a son through Sarah’s maid, Hagar, which was Ishmael.

That was not God’s plan, Ishmael was not the son of promise.

After Hagar conceived, Sarah found herself being despised in the eyes of her maid, and throws her out.

But then God divinely intervenes, makes a promise and instructs Hagar to return to her mistress.

We find this account in Genesis Chapter 16.

Fourteen Years Later

However, about fourteen years later, the appointed time in [Genesis 21] had arrived.

Sarah did conceive, and Isaac, the son of promise, was born.

However, when Sarah saw Ishmael, the son of Hagar mocking Isaac, this is what she told her husband, Abraham:

And she was both categorically and absolutely adamant in her statement in [Genesis 21:10].

“….Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.”

And God allowed it this time, as He told Abraham to listen to his wife in [Genesis 21:12].

The Question

Now here is the question:

Why did God send Hagar back to her mistress Sarah, only to be thrown out again fourteen years later?

We mentioned earlier that God would reveal and manifest a point 2000 years later.

This would be the most important doctrinal point for our Age of Grace.

And it had everything to do with Law vs Grace.

The two, under no circumstances, would be permitted to mix.

And in order to strongly emphasise that, God through the apostle Paul’s pen, brings out Sarah’s statement to the surface.

We find it in [Galatians 4:30-31].

The Legalistic Judaizers

Keep in mind that the letter of Galatians was written because the legalistic Judaizers had encroached the Church in Galatia.

Paul had established this Church, for many had come out of paganism, after hearing the Gospel of Grace.

They had come to the true knowledge of God, through the finished works of the cross, through the Gospel as revealed to the apostle Paul.

And then they had these Judaizers come in and start corrupting and perverting it with their legalism.

In so many words, they were telling them:

“Oh, all that is fine, but unless you are circumcised and keep the Law of Moses you cannot be saved”.

We find this account in [Acts 15:1] and [Acts 15:5], it was the same time period as Galatians.

A Quick Letter

So when Paul heard about it, he quickly wrote this letter to them.

And how apropos it is for every single one of us today.

So the apostle Paul writes and reiterates in [Galatians 4:30]:

“Nevertheless what saith the scripture?

It’s what Scripture says that matters, and not what any man or denomination may say.

“Cast out the bondwoman and her son:…..”, symbolically representing ‘the Law’.

“…..for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman” (representing Grace).

“So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.”

Law and Grace do not mix!

They are two different and separate dispensations or administrations.

And since God has clearly and carefully separated the two, so should we careful in keeping them separated.

Closing Down

The Age of Grace is fast closing down as we also close out this series, “Dispensation Under Attack”.

And indeed it is under severe attack, by Satan himself.

Satan tried his best to nip Christianity in the bud as the early Church, the Body of Christ came into existence.

But the more he attacked it through those ancient brutalities of persecution, the more it kept growing.

We’ve all heard of the saying, “if you can’t beat ‘em, then join ‘em”.

And Satan did exactly that.

And being the author of confusion, he succeeded in mixing up and ‘blenderizing’ Law and Grace through the pulpits of Christendom.

What God had separated, Satan managed to put together.

Hence all the maddening confusion, denominational divisions, chaos and manipulative legalism.

And religious legalism in any form is nothing short of manipulation and bondage!

Satan Keeping Us Away From Paul

Remember that Satan is doing his utmost to keep us away from the apostle Paul.

He is doing his utmost to keep us just within the confines of the four Gospel accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, for they were all “under the Law”.

Satan does not want us to really move into that full understanding of the revelations given to the apostle Paul.

He does not want us to understand that Christ has moved on beyond the cross and operating now under HIS newly instituted “Age of Grace”.

You get into Paul, under the revelationary umbrella of Christ’s ‘Doctrinal Grace’, and the devil ‘TRULY’ loses you, lock stock and barrel.

Whereas, in just Matthew, Mark Luke and John, Satan wants us to ‘think’ that he’s lost us and stay comfortable there. That keeps him happy.

The four Gospels are indispensably important and we cannot bypass them.

But it does not end there!

For something new then begins after that.

And those are the hidden mysteries revealed through the apostle Paul, the “GRACE GOSPEL” for our personal salvation, ‘without Israel’ and ‘without the Law’ [CRUMB 0125].

It’s all Grace and Grace alone!

No more religious bondage!

Even the apostle Peter, after his visit to the house of Cornelius understood this.

And he says so in [Acts 15:10]:

“Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?”

The apostle Paul is indeed Satan’s worst nightmare!

“JESUS I know and Paul I know….”, was his greatest confession of fear! [Acts 19:15].

So keep in mind that religious legalism in any form is nothing short of manipulation and bondage!

Stand Fast

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free”, screams the apostle Paul, even to us today.

“……and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (religious legalism).”  [Galatians 5:1].

And here is a very strong warning ‘by revelation’ from the apostle Paul, we must at any cost give heed to.

It is probably the scariest portion of Scripture in all of the Bible, for our eternal destiny hinges on it.

And we find it in the next verse in [Galatians 5:2].

Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised”……

And you can add just about anything to that, the list is long in Christendom today…..

Christ shall profit you…… (how much?)

“…….nothing.”

So there we have it.

It’s Scripture, part of the hidden mystery revealed by the Ascended Lord Jesus Christ through the apostle Paul both for and to us today.

And we all, must personally choose what we want to do with it.

About Joshua David Mukerji

A life filled with depravity, a conscience hardened and seared as with a hot iron, with eyes filled with tears on a road leading to nowhere, with an amputated spirit, devoid of any meaningful hope or purpose, moving on like a ship on a tumultuous sea without a sail, the author, from out of nowhere, has an encounter with a Living God that would radically change his life. With an infallible Hope imputed into his spirit, he moves on. Not claiming to have got there yet, but one thing he does: forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, he presses on with this Hope that will never fail. If you feel you somehow or in some way connect with any part of this, stick around. There are messages of True and Living Hope coming your way. You ‘will’ get there yet!!!
