CRUMB 0128 – IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE

IN THE TWINKLING OF AN EYE

Part #08 of “The Mystery Of The Rapture”

“…..‘In the twinkling of an eye’ is an amazing phrase in regard to the Rapture, that is beyond human comprehension.”

At the Rapture of the Church, this ‘twinkling of an eye’ refers to a speed, like nothing we have ever known.

In mathematical terms, the ‘twinkling of an eye’ would be a moment of time so small, that is indivisible.

It’s like the mathematical definition of a ‘dot’ or ‘point’, which has no length, breadth, height, depth or area.

Yet, it’s a dot.

In the same way the ‘twinkling of an eye’ is that indivisible moment of time.

This ‘twinkling of an eye’, is a part of the final revealed Rapture mystery in this Age of Grace.

And that is the ‘Mystery of the Rapture’ of all the Church age believers, including the ones who remain alive.

This what we are going to see Paul the Apostle describe in graphic detail.

Keep in mind, whatever the Apostle Paul writes, is by ‘direct revelation’ from the Ascended Lord Jesus Christ in Glory.

“How that by revelation HE (the Ascended Lord Jesus) made known unto me (Paul) the mystery….”, says Paul in [Ephesians3:3].

 Defining Church

Before we proceed further, let’s define this word ‘Church’.

The word ‘Church’, simply means an ‘assembly’, and not a building or anything else, as many are under the impression.

It’s an ‘assembly of people’ from all spectrums of society from all nations, who have placed their faith in Christ Jesus.

But for what?

That is the vital question!

It’s faith in the ‘FACT’ that, “HE died for our sins, was buried and rose again for our justification”.

That is God’s Gospel of Grace! [1 Corinthians 15:1-4]

This is no ‘fairly-tale’, it’s real, historical and proven beyond any shadow of doubt, and a ground zero ‘truth’.

The cross of Christ has actually and realistically accomplished this for each one of us individually.

Each one’s ‘Eternal Destiny’ hinges on this alone.

And no one needs to be left out!

“Just come as you are”, is the call, and you will in ‘no way’ be rejected.

Rather, you will be fully and totally accepted by God, without reservation.

Speaking of Jesus Christ, the Apostle Paul tells us that we’ll be “accepted in the Beloved” [Ephesians 1:6].

Don’t try and sort yourself out first, ‘come first’, is the invitation, and don’t worry about the rest.

You will ‘always’ unconditionally be in ‘right standing’ with God, at any given moment in time.

And each bridge, with His help, strength and guidance, can be crossed when it arrives.

The Good News

That’s the good news, the Gospel of our Salvation, [1 Corinthians 15:1-4].

All God wants us to do is simply ‘heart believe’ it, by faith + NOTHING ELSE.

And Heaven is ours for the taking!

There are no demands, works, rites or ritualism involved here, just “Believe + nothing”, it’s unconditional.

In so many words God tells us:

“Now don’t get all religious here, religion of any kind does not even come into the equation.

Certainly not in My scheme of things, not even the one I had ‘under the Law’ in the Old Testament”.

You are free from all that now ‘under My umbrella of Grace’, which has come through the cross”.

“It was for this freedom that Christ us free, completely liberating us.

Therefore keep standing firm…..

And do not be subject to a yoke of slavery (of religious demands, for), it’s been removed” [Galatians 5:1]

That is how simple God has made it for us.

And that is true freedom and sheer common sense!

The Moment We Believe

The moment we believe this wonderful Gospel, we become an integral part of that assembly, called the ‘Body of Christ’.

This is what Scripture in the Bible calls the ‘Church’.

THERE IS NO OTHER CHURCH, irrespective what others think and what we may have been told, it’s all absolute error.

It is ‘this’ Scriptural ‘Church’ that is imminently, going to be Raptured.

That is, ‘caught up’ [1 Thessalonians 4:17] into heaven in ‘the twinkling of an eye’.

It’s going to be ‘taken out of the way’, before the great tribulation of [Matthew 24:21] begins.

This Church, the ‘Body of Christ’, will be saved, delivered from this unprecedented horrible period of time that is coming [1 Thessalonians 1:10].

And not only that, it will also be saved from Great White Throne Judgement, which will be one only of  ‘condemnation’ [Revelation 20:11].

The Bible calls it the ‘second death’, an eternal separation from God, forever doomed in the ‘lake of fire’ [Revelation 20:6].

An eternity of untold regret, which none of us want, and none of us need to be there at all.

This is unprecedented, unimaginable ‘bad news’.

But God has made the way out for all of us to escape it through the Gospel, the ‘good news’.

If you have not placed your faith in Christ Jesus, in the Gospel, don’t wait around any longer.

“Do so now and today’, says the Scriptures in [ 2 Corinthians 6:1-2 ]

It’s a ‘free gift’ from God for the taking, to each one of us without exception [Romans 5:18].

Behold, I Show You A Mystery

Paul, the one with knowledge of the mysteries, tells us, “Behold, I show you a mystery;….”  In [1 Corinthians 15:51-52]

“We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.”

Now, here again, these are teachings you won’t find anywhere in all of Scripture, but with Paul.

Nowhere has it ever been hinted that there’s going to be a day, when living people are suddenly going to be translated.

Those who have been part and parcel now of the Body of Christ, are going to be changed.

Not the Old Testament saints or believers.

Daniel said he has to wait, ‘in his own order’, as we saw in the last CRUMB 0127.

God never saw fit to reveal this mystery before.

The Old Testament people didn’t have to know it, because they were not going to be in it.

Peter, James and John were not aware of it, because they were still tied intricately to Israel.

But now God is turning to a whole new group of people through the revelations given to Paul, the Gentiles.

And now HE sees fits to open up His timeline and reveal this 👇🏽, which had been kept secret for 4000 years.

So, this is why Paul is constantly using the word the ‘mysteries.

And part of this mystery is:

We Shall Not All Sleep

We shall not all sleep”, or die physically, but we shall all be changed.”

This old body can’t go into glory if we’re alive, so what has to happen?

God is going to have to change this body from “corruptible to incorruptible”, and from “mortal to immortal”  [1 Corinthians 15:53].

We shall all be changed, and always remember, With God all things are possible!”, quoted Jesus in [Matthew 19:26].

Every believer, from whatever corner of the earth they may be dwelling, is suddenly going to be changed.

And this ‘suddenly’ is that ‘twinkling of an eye’.

In the eyes of a secular world, that is impossible, but God says, “It’s not impossible!”

It’s going to happen, and the world will never know what happened.

The Rapture is going to be a very ‘silent affair’, and will happen virtually unnoticed.

It is not going to be a great public spectacle, as many believe and have been taught and depicted.

Jesus Christ is coming like a “thief in the night”  [1 Thessalonians 5:2], to take what preciously belongs to Him.

And that’s His Church, His Body, the Body of Christ, His Bride, and He’s not going to wait around.

HE will be in and out in a flash, in the ‘twinkling of an eye”.

In A Moment, The Twinkling Of An Eye

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye” , says Paul, “at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound….”

“And the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”  [1 Corinthians 15:52].

Notice that the Apostle Paul, uses the pronoun ‘we’, which means he expected to be around for this Rapture moment.

He didn’t know that God was going take this Age of Grace on for the next two thousand years.

And that is where ‘we’ find ourselves today, and also have the same mindset.

That yes, we definitely do believe it will happen in our lifetime, for it is imminent.

In less than a second of time, ‘in the twinkling of an eye’ every believer who has died is going to be resurrected.

An Order To The Rapture

There is an order to this Rapture of the ‘Church’, that universal ‘assembly’ of believers, who have placed their faith in the Gospel.

Just like there is an order to the ‘first resurrection’, ‘each man in his own order’, the same applies to the Rapture.

Paul the Apostle explains this wonderfully in [1 Thessalonians 4:13-18].

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren ……”, say Paul.

God wants all of us to know this and not be ignorant about it.

“Concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.”

This is the ‘hope above all hopes’, and one that none of us can afford ‘not to have’.

And this hope is the one that really matters!

Many worldly hopes for us have failed, but the one God guarantees here, is infallible.

“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again….”, that’s the Gospel of our salvation.

“Even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.”

That means, we are definitely going to see our loved ones who have gone ahead of us, never to be separated again.

“For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord…..”, says the Apostle Paul.

Isn’t that what really counts? God Himself is saying this, and we know we can trust in the integrity of His Word.

And here it is:

We Which Are Alive

“That we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.”

In other words, we who are still alive when the LORD comes to take us;

We will in no way precede those believers who have gone ahead of us, and died in Him.

“For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout…..”

Christ Jesus will Personally come down from Heaven, “with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God”.

Paul tells us that “the trumpet shall sound” in [1 Corinthians 15:52].

There’s going to be the ‘sound of a bugle’ and all believers will hear it.

Now watch what happens!

“And the dead in Christ shall rise first”.

“THEN……, we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them”

That’s the order of the Rapture, the dead first, then us who are still alive.

Now here is the interesting part.

Where are we meeting up with the Lord Jesus?

Not on the earth, He’s not coming all the way down but, “in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air….”

When He does come to earth later, it will be His second coming, to finish what He started with Israel.

But we, the Church, the ‘Body of Christ’ are going to meet Him ‘in the clouds, in the air’.

And this whole order of the Rapture will take place in the ‘twinkling of an eye’.

“And so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Look Like Never Before

When we get our new glorified bodies, we will look so young, radiant, vibrant, beautiful and handsome like never before.

It’s way beyond our imagination.

‘Ugly’ isn’t going to exist anymore! Sickness and death aren’t going to exist anymore.

Death will have been “swallowed up in victory” [1 Corinthians 15:54-55].

This what the cross of Christ has accomplished for each one of us.

So many of us in this life don’t want to grow old, we hate it.

And we do everything possible to stay young and good looking for as long as possible.

Both men and women the world over, visit parlours for ‘facials’, irrespective of the shape of our clothed covered bodies.

We love youth and beauty in ourselves, and rightfully so.

It’s the desire of our hearts and a valid one at that!

And unfortunately, this life, if it does, can give that just for a short season, before the withering sets in.

But with the Lord, we will have that desire fulfilled for all eternity.

I’m sure this will go down well with a lot of you out there, especially the women. 😀 👍🏽

For us men, who have sleepless nights with falling hair and baldness, you won’t have to worry about that any more.

You’ll have a full head of thick beautiful hair, and never lose even one ever again.

Now that’s something really worth thinking about, and here’s the thing; ‘that door is still wide open’.

Gird Up Your Loins

“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober”, exhorts Peter the Apostle to all of us [1 Peter 1:13].

“And hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

“Fix your hope completely on the Grace of God that is coming to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.”

That is, when He comes to take us and we shall see Him Face to face in glory.

Paul, in the Book of [Hebrews 12:12-13], states:

“Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;”

In other words, “don’t get discouraged and get your act together”, “and make straight paths for your feet”.

“So that the leg which is lame, may not be put out of joint, but rather may be healed.”

God has given us this ‘Tremendous Infallible Hope’ to look forward to.

And so, the Apostle closes his statement in [1 Thessalonians 4:18]:

“Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

For they are:

‘Words of Truth’
