Part #05 of “The Mystery Of The Rapture”
“The Mystery of the Age of Grace is indispensably unique.”
The Bible tells us it was a secret ‘hidden in God’, before the world began [Ephesians 3:9].
And according to God’s determinate plan for the ages, it was to be kept separated from His previous dealing with the human race ‘under the Law’.
‘The two just do not mix’, for it is the Almighty Supreme Creator God of the universe Who has Sovereignly separated them.
God was careful in separating them, and so we should be too.
This separation of the Age of Grace from the Law, was a ‘Judicial Act of God’.
It was all according to His “determinate counsel and foreknowledge” which Peter speaks about in [Acts 2:23].
And God has ‘NEVER’ shifted from it, everything is perfectly right on schedule.
This Age of Grace was something that God could ‘judicially’ release to the entire human race, ‘because of the cross’.
Because God, in the Person of the Son, Jesus Christ, legally paid ‘every’ sin debt of ‘every person’ that ever lived.
That includes even those who are yet to be born.
The Required Redemptive Price
Every drop of His Divine Blood was totally shed as the required redemptive price for ‘ALL’, without exception.
And this was all because of His incomprehensible and unconditional LOVE for His most prized creation, the human race.
So, Jesus Christ ‘HAD’ to go to the cross.
Only then salvation could be offered unconditionally to ‘All’ without exception, ‘without the deeds of the Law’ [Romans 3:28] and this Age of Grace be released.
And every human being could have the opportunity to be justified and and be in ‘perfect right standing’ with God.
Everyone could have the opportunity of receiving God’s revealed free gift of ‘HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS’ [Romans 3:21].
This was all part of the ‘Mystery of the Age of Grace’.
All God is doing today is “calling out a people for His Name” [Acts 15:14].
And He is calling them out through the good news, the Gospel of our salvation as laid out in [1 Corinthians 15:1-4], how that “Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again.”
Every Man’s Greatest Adversary
Satan, every man’s greatest adversary would always look to put a spoke in God’s wheel of redemptive salvation.
Here is how the Apostle Paul puts it across ‘by revelation’ in [1 Corinthians 2:7-8]:
“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained……”
“………before the world unto our glory:”
“Which none of the princes of this world knew:”, says Paul.
“For had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”
So God, in HIS incomprehensible wisdom and purpose, allowed Israel to reject and crucify Christ Jesus.
Even though it was out of their stubborn, stiff-necked ignorance.
This is so clearly shown in [Acts 3:17-18].
For if there was no Divine ‘sacrificial cross’, there would be ‘no hope’ of salvation for any of us.
There would no Age of Grace whatsoever for us.
Never Known In Previous Ages
The Age of Grace was never known or revealed in the previous ages.
The prophets of the Old Testament, could sense there was something out there in the future.
They knew the death, burial and resurrection of their coming Messiah, was going to release and bring in something.
But they could not see this mystery Age of Grace, even though they searched diligently, for God kept it hidden from their knowledge.
Peter Puts It Across Wonderfully
Here is how Peter wonderfully puts it across in [1 Peter 1:10-11]:
“Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:”
This is exactly what Peter is referring to.
That the prophets knew that there was something that they couldn’t put their hands on, even though they searched diligently.
“Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify,” says Peter.
“When it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.”
In other words, after Christ Jesus would suffer the death of the Cross, and He would ascend back to Glory.
Then in short order would come the horrors of the Tribulation, and then the King would return and set up the Kingdom.
That was the Old Testament format and timeline 👇🏾
Keep in mind that this is all that the Old Testament prophets saw.
But none of them had an inkling that God would stop it and put in this undetermined period of time 👇🏾
And this undetermined period of time would usher in the Age of Grace with the Apostle Paul.
It’s a period of time where God is calling out a people from every tribe, nation and tongue, called…..👇🏾
The Body Of Christ
The Old Testament never uses the term, ‘Body of Christ’.
Even Jesus Christ ‘NEVER’ used this term during His three years of ministry on earth.
James, Peter and John never mention it in their epistles to the Jews.
This is strictly a ‘Pauline term’, which only the Apostle Paul uses by ‘revelation’, from the ‘Ascended Lord Jesus Christ’.
This is the ‘Church Age’ where God is calling out a people from every nation, irrespective of their religious background, across the globe without exception.
And this ‘calling out’ includes even the Jews from the nation of Israel.
Those, who by ‘personal will and decision’, will simply freely receive their salvation by faith through believing His Gospel message.
It’s by ‘faith + nothing else’, in this Age of Grace!
And as they ‘heart believe’, they are instantly and irreversibly placed, one by one, into ‘ONE BODY’, the “BODY OF CHRIST”.
A Sovereign Act Of The Spirit
This ‘placing into’ is by a judicial and Sovereign Act of the of the ‘HOLY SPIRIT’.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Christ, they are all one and the same.
And this placing of believers into this ‘ONE BODY’, is called ‘Baptism’, and the ‘only one’ that is relevant for eternity.
Baptism by water, be it in a baptistry water tank or the river Jordan, by man, will not cut it!
This has to be done by ‘UNDEFILED HANDS’, which no human being has.
“For we have all sinned and come short of the Glory of God” [Romans 3:23].
SO it has to be GOD Himself!
This is so clearly laid out in [1 Corinthians 12:13]:
“For by one Spirit are we all baptized into (what?) ‘ONE BODY’, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free;”
The Holy Spirit is the ‘Baptist of Scripture’ today in this ‘Age of Grace’.
This is an ‘Act of God’ in the spiritual realm which is invisible.
There are no outwardly physical manifestations or feelings of any kind, it’s by ‘faith alone’.
Paul calls it the ‘The Body of Christ’ which is His ‘Church’, or ‘The Church’ which is His Body.
Are We In The Body?
Many of us may claim or profess to be Christians, irrespective of our denominations, but the BIG QUESTION is:
‘ARE WE IN THE BODY OF CHRIST’?
For if we are not in the ‘Body of Christ’, then we are still lost.
There’s only ‘one way’, whether we be professing Christians or anybody else, to get placed into this ‘One Body’ .
And that is ‘only’ by heart believing Paul’s revealed ‘Gospel of Grace’ + nothing else.
And then the Holy Spirit will do ‘His part’ by instantly and irreversibly placing us into ‘Christ’s Body’.
Only then are we totally safe for an eternity in heaven.
A Divine Sealing
Apart from the Holy Spirit placing a believer into ‘The Body’, there’s a ‘Divine sealing’ that instantly takes place too.
A picture of this ‘Divine sealing’, is found in Noah’s Ark, in [Genesis 6:14] in the Old Testament.
“Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark” God tells Noah.
“And shalt pitch it within (inside) and without (outside) with pitch.”
The ‘pitch’ of Noah’s Ark is a significant “type” or picture of the Blood of Christ.
Because pitch was tar.
It was something that would ‘seal’ out the water.
So, we have to put this whole picture together.
Here is how the Apostle Paul clearly puts it across in [Ephesians 1:13-14].
“In Whom ye also trusted, (speaking of Christ Jesus) after that ye heard the word of truth,……”
And what is this ‘word of truth’?
“……..the gospel of your salvation:”
“…….In Whom also ‘after that ye believed’, ye were ‘sealed’ with that Holy Spirit of promise.”
This is exactly what God has been doing for the last 2000 + years.
HE is filling up this ‘Vessel’ of His, called ‘The Body’.
And also ‘sealing’ each believer individually with His Holy Spirit, guaranteeing eternity in heaven.
The Timeline In This Age Of Grace
So here is what the timeline now looks like today in this ‘Age of Grace’ 👇🏾
This 👆🏾 was God’s plan for the ages before the world began, and the reason we can see it today is because of the mysteries revealed to the Apostle Paul.
That part of the timeline displayed in RED, is where we are today.
This is where God is operating today, nowhere else, keeping in mind that this period is ‘under Grace’.
And this is where God wants all of us to be in our doctrinal understanding and faith.
It’s that period in the Scriptures which is from the Book of Romans through to Philemon.
This is Christ’s ‘heavenly ministry’ to us ‘under Grace’, as revealed through the Apostle Paul, unlike His earthly ministry to Israel which was ‘under the Law’.
Designated Apostle Of Christ
There is ‘nothing missing’, it’s complete! [Colossians 1:25-26].
And the moment, that last believer steps into the Body of Christ, the Body will be complete.
Scripture calls it the “fullness of the Gentiles”, which the Apostle Paul mentions in [Romans 11:25].
“For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery”, says Paul.
“…..lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the ‘fulness of the Gentiles ‘be come in.”
The Body Complete
The moment this ‘Body’ is full and complete, it will abruptly bring an end to this ‘Age of Grace’.
Only then God can continue where He left off with Israel ‘under the Law’, beginning with the seven years of tribulation.
And this Church Age which is ‘under Grace’, ‘CANNOT’ be a part of that.
For what is ‘under the Law’ cannot mix with what is ‘under Grace’.
Remember, it was God Who separated the two.
They were two entirely ‘different programmes’ of Heaven.
One was ‘under the Law’, while the other is ‘under Grace’.
Hence, the Body of Christ ‘MUST’ be removed by what is known and which Scripture shows as the ‘RAPTURE’.
We see this on the above timeline.
So that alone settles the controversy, of when the rapture will take place.
It’s really that simple!
It will, without any shadow of doubt, be ‘before the great tribulation’ that Jesus Christ spoke of in [Matthew 24].
And the Church ‘cannot’ and ‘will not’ be a part of that tribulation, for that would throw God’s timeline out of order.
