“Sin can live for nothing because it believes in nothing, for it sees nothing’.
Sin brings no fulfilment, because in reality, it has nothing to fill.
We are paying a heavy price for sin, our fallen human nature as we look at the evidence around us.
“A well-known preacher of the Gospel could not have said it better than this”
“The harlot, the liar, the murderer are all short of God’s Glory; but so are we.
Perhaps they stand at the bottom of the mine, and we on the crest of the Alp: but we are little able to touch the stars as they”.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God” [Romans 3:23].
“WE ALL need the Gospel of CHRIST JESUS, we all need to respond to it and receive it”.
We continue to maintain that [Romans 3:23] is not a statement of condemnation, but rather of condition.
Let us tell you why.
When Jesus Christ came ministering to the nation of Israel, HE first made the statement in [John 3:17].
“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved”.
And Salvation, simply put, is to be saved from the penalty of sin.
Sin, A Fallen Human Condition
Sin is a fallen human condition, not an act.
Because we have it inherent in us it causes us to commit “acts of sin”.
No man apart from Christ Jesus is an exception.
We understand now that committing “acts of sin”, by thought, word or deed, does not make us nor constitutes us as sinners.
We sin because we are already sinners, for are inherently born with it.
So God is by no means condemning us for sin, but He is strongly stating our inner spiritual condition.
Sin, our fallen human nature, is a spiritual cancer for which there is no human remedy, least of all religion.
No Lasting Remedy In Religion
Religion wants us to think that it has a remedy for sin, and we have fallen for the trap.
There are no shortage of endless religions out there, take your pick!
For all they can really do is a temporary cover up job to make us feel good and pious.
Religion deceptively satisfies our so-called spiritual ego and we can choose any from many that best justifies our outward personality.
But the cancer within still exists and it’s alive and it will eventually cause us eternal death.
That is the harsh and stark reality of sin. The evidence is all around us and within us.
“Are we really right?” is an honest question we need to ask ourselves.
And if we are true to ourselves, we know that the answer is ‘NO’, we’re not.
And because it’s a ‘NO’, we are all candidates for eternal condemnation, and there is nothing we can do about it.
All the religions of the world put together have absolutely no remedy for this spiritual cancer called sin. And there are no apologies in stating so.
The Breaking Of Laws Has Consequences
The breaking of any kind of law has consequences.
If you break a natural law, like gravity for instance, the building you are constructing will collapse. You can’t stop it.
We have to stick strictly to the ninety-degree rule. We can’t afford to shift even half a degree to the left or to the right or else we will be in trouble.
When flying on a jet plane, the pilot better stick strictly to the law of aerodynamics.
For if that law is even remotely violated the plane will crash.
There is certainly no such thing as a spiritual flight when we are at forty thousand feet in an aircraft.
Law is law.
Stick strictly to the ninety-degree rule, or your building will collapse. Stick strictly to the law of aerodynamics, or you will crash.
For these laws are unchangeably in place. They will not shift for anything or anyone.
When breaking a social law, the consequences are anything from a legal fine to life imprisonment or the hangman’s noose.
Because society, which formed and put these laws in place, demands justice be served for its wrath to be satisfied.
Breaking God’s Moral and Spiritual Laws
Sin is the breaking of God’s moral Law, and it does not matter what society or anybody else thinks. God’s Law is God’s Law and it is unchangeably in place.
And when these Laws are violated, even one of them, the eternal consequence will be hell, leading to the lake of fire.
The reason why hell is eternal is because it can “never” satisfy the Wrath of God. Hence it must be eternal.
The reality is that every single one of us, have violated God’s moral laws laws in some way or another. And that violation, the Bible calls sin.
That includes all the top so-called religious leaders too in their fancy satin apparel.
And Oh my! Don’t we need a suitable religion to cosmetically cover these committed violations!
Oh yes, we can cover our foreheads with ash, wear religious head-gear and hang all the crosses around our necks.
We can even carry a holy book neatly tucked under arm.
And oh yes! We must not forget that all this must stick out visibly just enough so that others can see it.
That is important, in order to create that unique religious appearance.
But sadly, inside we are yet rotten to the core.
How Do We Cover That Up?
When we break God’s moral laws that is exactly what we do! We are cosmetically “covering up” with some sort of man-made religion or the other.
And honestly, what we are really doing is “running for cover”. And we neither want to admit it nor come to terms with it.
That is what religion is all about.
We may not like it, but it is the truth.
Let’s Be Honest
Come on! Just let’s be honest with ourselves and humbly face the truth.
“For we all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God” [Romans 3:23].
If we can truly and humbly admit that, then we instantly become prime candidates for God’s Amazing Grace that is “all sufficient”.
All it takes is a believing heart, in what God is telling us about our spiritual condition.
And all you have to lose here is hell itself.
Coming back to what Christ Jesus said earlier in [John 3:17].
“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved”.
Mission Impossible Truly Accomplished
Christ was here with a mission. And that mission was not to condemn but to save.
This mission, being impossible for religion to accomplish, was painfully, but yet Gloriously and victoriously, accomplished by Christ Jesus Himself.
JESUS CHRIST, the Creator God of Heaven came down to pay our consequential penalty, which we could never pay.
Christ Jesus did this by going to the cross and dying gruesomely on it. And along with Himself, nailed every single sin of ours to that old rugged cross.
It does not matter, how bad, how big and how deep our sins were in the past. Nor does it matter how they are today and could be tomorrow.
No stone has been left unturned.
The cross of Jesus Christ took care of it all. “It is finished” [John 19:30].
IT’S ALL BEEN PAID “IN FULL” BY HIS BLOOD, and we need to know this.
For this “shed Blood” of Christ Jesus has and does so even today, “fully satisfy” the Wrath of God.
Resurrection The Evidence
The “Evidence” that Christ Jesus was the Son of God; that He was our sin bearer, and that He successfully paid our sin debt was the “Resurrection”.
Let’s take a look at how it was revealed by the Ascended LORD to Paul the apostle in [Romans 1:4]:
Jesus Christ was “declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead”
That great apostle Paul talking about Jesus Christ, also tells us in [Romans 4:25]:
“Who was delivered for our offences (referring to Christ’s death on the cross), and was raised again for our justification”.
And “justification” is a judicial, legal and irrevocable “Act of God” granting us unconditional acquittal from all our offences.
Unconditional Salvation
‘This’ is what God has done for us through the cross and ‘This’ is how HE is offering us salvation unconditionally.
It is our personal decision to accept it by faith or reject it.
Faith is not blind. It must based on knowledge and that knowledge must be based on proven facts.
We have faith in the law of gravity, which why we can build in confidence knowing that it will not fail.
And the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ ‘is’ a proven fact [1 Corinthians 15:3-8]. Check it out!
And Faith in this finished work of Christ Jesus will save us “infallibly”.
This Glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ saves from the “uttermost” to the ‘guttermost”.
Now if you don’t want to be saved, then you will be condemned.
And the reality of the truth is that you will have actually condemned your self.
Honestly, how foolishly stupid is that?
That was one great crumb !!!! God wants every single one of us in the fold and Jesus came for all of us. Makes me sometimes wonder how God could love us sinners to the extent that He sent his Son to pay the price for us !!!! Yes brother, He indeed has paid the price IN FULL !!! Makes me wonder how much love God has in His heart for us !!!
Amen, Thanks for your encouraging comment!
