CRUMB 0055 – THE CROSS MAKES YOU WORTHY

“Worth” is something that is vitally important for every soul”.

Worth is a value and every man on this planet is worth something that is priceless.

Many of us may not feel like it, but God thought you were worth dying for on the cross.

THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH OF SCRIPTURE!

Today, we live in a world where we, for the most part, do not entertain “absolutes”. We feel they bind us, and to a large, if not to at least a certain extent, that is true.

We feel controlled by “absolutes” and rightfully so, for we live in an age of constant deception and manipulation.

So much of deception and manipulation in so many ways that has literally got our backs up. Personal gain has ben the agenda.

We are suspicious of everything and trust NOTHING.

And that is indeed a great tragedy!

However, here is the thing. This “absolute” of Scripture is as certain and ‘rock solid as 2+2=4. And they are absolutely worth embracing.

The Cross Demonstrates

The cross of Jesus Christ proves and demonstrates that ‘worth’ without any shadow of doubt whatsoever.

This “absolute” of the cross of Christ is not one that binds, but rather one that genuinely sets us free.

According to Scripture we were worth setting free, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free” [Galatians 5:1].

It’s one that truly closes the door of our past and promises the liberating end of our eternal future.

Whatever we may have heard or been taught about Christ Jesus and His Cross, but what follows is the real truth.

There are no personal or human opinions here. There are no vain philosophical, legalistic or religious tones in the language of the cross.

The TRUTH speaks for itself.

Embedded in the “absoluteness” of the cross, are ‘two’ immutable life changing liberating Scriptural “absolutes”, around which everything must revolve.

Let’s look at them.

[I] THERE IS NO REMISSION AND FREEDOM WITHOUT SHED BLOOD

“And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission”.

The amplified version of the same Scripture would put it across like this for better understanding:

“[In fact] under the Law almost everything is purified by means of blood, and without the shedding of blood there is neither release from sin and its guilt nor the remission of the due and merited punishment for sins”.

That is a vitally important and powerful “truth concept” that God is stating in [Hebrews 9:22] of the Bible.

And if that is not true, then we, every single one of us, ‘truly’ have no hope.

The breaking of any law demands that it be met with justice. We all would agree with that.

Within our social fabric we are governed by social laws, which we are obligated to keep and maintain. It’s the reason for government. It is supposed to be for the benefit and safety of every single citizen.

When those social laws are violated, then the same society that put those laws in place, demand justice.

The violator or violators must be judicially punished. And when that takes place, only then is the wrath of society satisfied. Justice has been served.

The Blood Concept

The simple concept of a blood sacrifice is not hard to comprehend.

Freedom is never free, for it comes with a price, and usually a heavy one.

This is a universal law and it applies to every known and unknown area of lives. It is the very core of our entire individual being and our social fabric.

For me to have freedom somebody must pay. Somebody must sacrifice something that is precious and valuable in order for me to obtain and enjoy that freedom.

This concept practically applies to every single area of our lives and is an indisputable fact.

Freedom without a sacrifice just does not add up.

Most of us are citizens of nations that have fought and sacrificed for our national freedom. We believed our nation was worth fighting for. Love for our nation was the driving force.

And these sacrifices have entailed the shedding of blood. People have died fighting for the freedom that we enjoy.

The simple concept of blood is important to comprehend.

There is nothing that comes even remotely close to ‘blood’ that affects the entire human race the way it does. It stands “far above” anything else.

The fullness of our lives and in fact life itself, is in the blood that flows through our veins.

We Know That We Are Not Right

Just about all of us know that we, within ourselves have never been right and are not so even now.

We, as a human race have violated every single law of God. And because of this every single one of us are under God’s condemnation.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” [Romans 3:23]. This is a valid charge against every single one of us. We “know” that is true, if we are honest with ourselves.

We need to face that fact with humility for that is what it would take.

Now here is the justice due for having violated those laws:

“For the wages of sin is death” [Romans 6:23]. This death is far beyond our natural death.

It is one of eternal punishment in what the Bible calls the ‘lake of fire’. The severity of it is far beyond human description.

This is the only way that God’s justice would prevail [Crumb 0012].

[II] WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD

This is the second “absolute” of Scripture, and it involves Faith + Nothing.

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him” [Hebrews 11:6].

We cannot stress enough that faith must be based on knowledge, and knowledge must be based on proven facts.

Biblical faith is not blind. It is documented. And this Biblical faith is simply taking God at His Word.

Faith is the language of all Scripture.

There was a time in our human culture that our word would be enough. Our ability in keeping our word would determine our integrity.

But sadly, that no longer exists in our culture, for the spirit of lies, deception and manipulation has taken precedence. That is a hard truth we are living with today.

Unfortunately, there is very little if any at all that we can take at face value.

But we thank God that it is not so with Him. He has remained “unchanged” in His Nature, Attributes and in the integrity of His Word.

For “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” [Numbers 23:19].

God ‘NEVER’ changes His mind. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever” [Hebrews 13:8].

We can fully trust and rest assuredly in His Word.

Faith Is The Key That Unlocks The Doors Of Heaven

Faith is that golden key that unlocks the door of our true destiny, both temporal and eternal.

The author continues to say in [Hebrews 11:6], “for he that cometh to God must believe that He is”.

The phrase ”He is”, is the one that we draw our attention to.

In the first person, that would take us all way back in the Old Testament to [Exodus 3:14].

Moses had asked God, as to what he should tell the children of Israel His Name was.

God’s reply was simple, concise and to the point.

“I AM THAT I AM: Thus thou shall say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you”.

So when we come to God by faith, we come believing that, “HE IS WHO HE SAYS HE IS”. Period.

And it is this attitude of faith that unlocks the door to our eternal destiny. It is all that God expects of us.

Believing Honours God

God is honoured when we believe in what His Son, Jesus Christ, did for us on the cross.

The charge laid against us for violating every law of God was borne by Jesus Christ, God’s Son.

Being impossible for us to pay that demanded price, Jesus Christ took it upon Himself to do so.

HE did so by a judicial act of God.

It was that perfect “shed blood sacrifice” needed to obtain our redemption and freedom from the eternal fires of hell.

That is what God saves us from, for we on our own are incapable of doing so.

It’s why there is not a religion on this planet that has a hope in hell. For all religions will lead you exactly there [Crumb 0028].

This may sound like a strong statement, but it is the truth.

The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ are not myths.

They have eye-witnessed and are historic and proven facts.

Our faith stands on the knowledge of these facts.

Really, none of us should have any problem believing this, apart from a blind ego.

This is where our humility comes into play.

That is what it eventually all finally boils down to. It’s “Pride Versus Humility”. Only we can declare the winner by our own personal choice. We get to choose.

The Hell Saving Gospel

“Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again for our justification” [1 Corinthians 15:1-4] and [Romans 4:25].

This is the Gospel of Grace of Jesus Christ.

When we believe this and this alone by Faith + nothing, we are saved from that eternal damnation.

On that cross, Divine Blood was sacrificially shed for the remission of sins. The worth and value of that Divine Blood is something we will never be able to comprehend.

Because of this, Divine condemnation could be replaced by a Divine free gift of eternal life.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus [Romans 6:23].

THIS IS WHO GOD IS. He is a Giver.

He came to us via this cross. We go to Him via this same cross.

The “Cross of Christ” is the meeting point between God and man.

THERE IS NO OTHER WAY.

We believe that we are sinners, and have fallen short of his glory, because He says so. And deep down we ‘know so’.

Then we come to the cross by faith +nothing, because we believe that “HE IS”.

The Reason For The Season

Every Christmas season, is the celebration of the birth of our LORD and SAVIOUR Jesus Christ.

Tradition has made this a celebratory event.

But the birth of Jesus Christ in the Scriptures was never a public celebratory event.

Apart from a handful of shepherds and a few other people, nobody knew.

Jesus Christ was the only One ever, born with an agenda to die.

And die He did for us on the cross, and this death was a “public event”.

HE took all our guilt and shame “publicly” on that cross, as He bled to death.

This may sound horribly shocking to us, but God was “well pleased”.

“Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him” [Isaiah 53:10].

And it was all just for us.

God is a believer. He truly believed we were worth dying for. And then He followed through on that cross.

This Love of God is beyond our human comprehension, and all God wants from us is to believe it. That’s it.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.

With an infallible Hope imputed into his spirit, he moves on. Not claiming to have got there yet, but one thing he does: forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, he presses on with this Hope that will never fail. If you feel you somehow or in some way connect with any part of this, stick around. There are messages of True and Living Hope coming your way. You ‘will’ get there yet!!!
