CRUMB 0039 – SALVATION OUR GREATEST NEED

#3 of #5 “Can You Lose Your Salvation?”

Continued from CRUMB 0038

“Driven by man’s greatest need and Love for His creation, so far as we know and understand, the cross is Heaven’s Greatest achievement in eternal history”.

Whether we know it or not, God’s Salvation is every person’s GREATEST NEED.

However, we all first need to come to come to this following place of recognition.

Every single person on this planet is a sinner, “For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God” [Romans 3:23].

We need to understand that this statement is not one of condemnation. It is rather ‘a fact’ pointing to the reality of our inner spiritual condition.

If we are truly honest with ourselves, we know that we are “not right”.

And that “not right” part of us is the ‘fallen condition’ of our human nature which the Bible calls ‘sin’.

Sin A Condition

Sin is a condition, not an act. It is because of this sin condition, our fallen human nature, that we ‘commit acts of sins’. [Please do refer to Crumb 0003].

NOW, Bible tells us that, “the wages of sin is death” (that is an eternity in hell), “BUT” (the other side of the coin), “the gift of God is eternal life (in Heaven) through Jesus Christ our LORD” [Romans 6:23].

How wonderful is this gift that God through His abounding Grace gives to all of us sinners. We don’t deserve this, so it must and can only be by Grace.

We can have this gift of God freely, because God Himself has taken care of that “wages of sin” part for us.

HE has done that through the cross of Christ Jesus, His Son.

Scripture does not lie. It is “impossible for God to lie” [Hebrews 6:18] and [Numbers 23:19].

But here is the question, “DO you believe God’s Word and acknowledge that you are this helpless sinner”?

With no strings attached, the Gospel of your salvation is freely yours to embrace if you do.

If you don’t, then know that there is no greater tragedy than a heart of “unbelief”.

A Personal Decision

OUR SALVATION is a personal decision. It’s a ONE to one. It is between God and you.

The only middle Man is JESUS CHRIST our Saviour.

You may be a raised and baptized Church going Christian with a baptism certificate.

But it counts for nothing if you have not personally and truly believed in the Gospel of your salvation.

You are lost and have no claim on Heaven.

We cannot work our way into Heaven and we certainly don’t need a certificate.

That is what religion subtly and deceptively teaches. It is authored by Satan the devil himself and is guaranteed to take us straight to the pits of an eternal hell.

THE BIG LIE is “just get baptized and get your certificate. That’s your ticket to heaven”.

NO IT’S NOT. Let’s get this clear:

NOTHING apart from our personal decision to believe in the Gospel of Grace only “by faith” can save us.

FOR, “without faith it is impossible to please God” [Hebrews 11:6] is one of the “absolutes” of Scripture.

SALVATION = FAITH + NOTHING ELSE

What Really Does Happens When You Truly Believe?

The moment one, anyone, whosoever, believes in Paul’s Gospel of Grace the Power of God moves in and He saves instantly.

Paul the apostle tells us in [Colossians 1:13], that God, “God hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son”.

There is instant forgiveness and the slate is wiped clean, which we appropriate the moment we believe in Paul’s Gospel of salvation.

God says, For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more” [Hebrews 8:12].

Paul the great apostle tells us that, In whom (Christ Jesus) we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” [Ephesians 1:7].

He further confirms in [Colossians 1:14], “In whom (Christ Jesus) we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”

And since God repeats this twice in virtually the same breath, HE is laying absolute “emphasis” on this “FACT”.

It’s important to understand that “faith must be based on knowledge, and knowledge must be based on proven facts”.

The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ the Son of God, is a witnessed and proven fact.

The Gift Of His Holy Spirit

God gives us His Holy Spirit as a free gift.

How do we know that we have received God’s Spirit?

It ‘must be by faith’ for God’s Word tells us so.

The Bible refers to it as the promised blessing of Abraham.

“That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit (The Holy Spirit) through faith (by believing in the Gospel) [Galatians 3:14].

It is really that simple.

We don’t receive or get empowered by the Holy Spirit as a separate ‘special encounter’ as many have taught.

Unfortunately this belief still exists to day, and this misunderstanding is a result of the wrong understanding of the Book of Acts.

Neither today do we receive the Spirit by laying on of hands as has been often suggested. This is also a wrong practice that goes on today.

That way man takes God’s Glory and God will never share His Glory with man. It is totally the work of God, which takes place the “moment we truly believe”. Period.

False Understandings

The “evidence of speaking in tongues” is NOT required, as certain false denominational doctrines teach.

This has unfortunately resulted in many doubting their salvation and their faith shipwrecked.

It has also resulted in the manufacturing of their own phonetic sounds in order to give an outward impression.

After all, we are not supposed to understand what we blabber, is the what we are told.  So now others can think that since we babble, we are filled with the Holy Spirit.

Some can do it so convincingly. And this what has gone down to be known the ‘Pentecostal experience’.

What a sham!

Speaking in tongues (which are known languages by-the-way) was only as a ‘sign’ for the Jews at that time, “For the Jews require a sign” (1 Corinthians 1:22).

Today it is, “The just (which is every Grace age believer) shall live by (what?) …..faith[Romans 1:17] and now there is “no difference between Jew and Gentile” [Romans 10:12].

It is only ‘believing faith’ that counts and faith is simply “taking God at His Word”.

Where is the legalism here? Where is religion here? It does not even come into the equation.

How simple God has made this for us. How Wonderfully HE has met our greatest need.

“TRUSTING in the ‘Finished Work’ of the Cross, enables us to jump off the ‘cliff of unbelief’”.

About Joshua David Mukerji

A life filled with depravity, a conscience hardened and seared as with a hot iron, with eyes filled with tears on a road leading to nowhere, with an amputated spirit, devoid of any meaningful hope or purpose, moving on like a ship on a tumultuous sea without a sail, the author, from out of nowhere, has an encounter with a Living God that would radically change his life. With an infallible Hope imputed into his spirit, he moves on. Not claiming to have got there yet, but one thing he does: forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, he presses on with this Hope that will never fail. If you feel you somehow or in some way connect with any part of this, stick around. There are messages of True and Living Hope coming your way. You ‘will’ get there yet!!!

  1. A lovely crumb on faith and salvation and trusting and believing !!! I agree absolutely that we need to keep it simple and not complicate the simple word of God by man-made doctrines of different kinds.
