“PEACE” is a very precious and priceless commodity, which is of intrinsic value.
For the most part when people are generally asked the one thing they desire the most, ‘peace’ is what one would usually say.
We crave for peace in our homeland, in our cities, in our homes and families, and above all, we desperately need that peace within ourselves.
With the turmoil we all have witnessed all around us in untold measure in relatively recent years, we are left wondering in which direction we are going.
For most us, we struggle to see hope for tomorrow.
We see and know that our world is in grave trouble. Things have never really got better as many of us have expected.
Things in fact, are in chaos and confusion, which is a real dilemma. It personally affects each one of us individually.
The decline just does not seem to stop.
We all have personal dreams for a better tomorrow, which we have seen threatened and shattered.
Dejection coupled with disappointment is the condition of most people.
When our nation struggles with all its inner turmoil, it castrates our spirit.
Indeed, today our greatest need is peace.
For it is the very doorway to every other breakthrough of intrinsic value for us individually, our families, our nation and globally.
We Are All Connected
We are all in one way or the other, connected, for we are all part of the same human race.
Take a few moments to let that sink in.
We, with our fallen human nature have destroyed the very thing we desperately need and desire.
We need “Divine Intervention”, from the God and Prince of Peace, for He alone can grant us that, which is the need of the hour.
God in His Great Mercies and Goodness, does give seasons of peace and rest.
Yes, we do need a season of respite, calm and peace.
The Season Is Possibly Here
There is good reason to believe and expect that a season of much needed respite and peace is finally here.
Strongly note that is just ‘but for a season’. Will explain why, towards the end of this article.
The Abraham Accord
On the 13th day of August, 2020, just a few days ago, a ground breaking and historic “Israeli – United Arab Emirates Peace Agreement”, known as the “Abraham Accord”, was ‘agreed to’ by both Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
If an agreement is signed, the UAE will be the third Arab nation, after Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994, to formally normalize its relationship with Israel, as well as the first Persian Gulf country to do so.
It has not yet been formally signed, but is has been ‘agreed to’.
The Abraham Accord is expected to be formally signed in the White House between the two parties in about three weeks time.
And when that happens, the world at large will experience “a season” of much needed respite and peace.
Lines of communication have been opened between Israel and the UAE, which is vitally important to consolidate this peace agreement.
Father Abraham
The true Arabs and the Jews descend from their common father Abraham.
Both their genealogies start with Abraham.
So they are in fact, very closely related as they are from the same bloodline.
The disputes and the discord that they have had, have in reality been a “centuries long family feud”.
Statistically, the most discord, disputes and feuds take place within families.
So what’s been happening for centuries between the true Arabs and the Jews is no surprise. It’s been a family dispute.
Hence this makes this Israeli-Arab peace agreement very unique, significant and highly relevant for the rest of the world.
And since both the Arabs and the Jews descend from their father Abraham, the “Abraham Accord”, is a beautiful and perfectly apt name for this agreement.
It is good tidings indeed.
This “Abraham Accord” will bring forth valuable breakthroughs in all nations, homes and individual lives.
The Reason For This Season
HISTORY, past present and future Sovereignly revolves around this little Nation of Israel.
Israel is central to all the plans and purposes of Almighty God, both temporal and eternal.
The Nation Of Israel is the only nation in the world that has been Sovereignly formed by God Almighty Himself.
HE covenanted this with the patriarch Abraham.
It started with a blessed promise, “I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shall be a blessing: And I will bless them and bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed” [Genesis 12:1-3].
And in [Genesis 18:17-18] God once again emphasizes, “Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?”
(Oh if nations had just paid heed to these promises, how different things would be today. If they had only truly befriended Israel, this world would have been a much better place to live in. But it was not to be).
Anyway, all that Abraham had to do was ‘believe’.
What followed was probably the most powerful phrase in all of Scripture as stated by Paul the apostle, “Abraham believed God” [Romans 4:3].
God laid hold of that faith-filled heart belief of Abraham, and immediately set the covenant in place and in motion [Genesis 15:18-21];
This Covenant was going to the basis of everything that was to follow and it holds good and strong right to this very day and hour.
History Does Not Lie
History has categorically shown that whenever there has been peace in the land of Israel, the rest of the world has enjoyed that peace.
With this peace comes prosperity.
And when there has been turmoil in Israel, there has been turmoil and unrest in the rest of the world.
If Israel can get this season of peace, it would permeate into all the other nations of the world.
Although, Israel has never known lasting peace in its history, it will one day, when Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, comes and sets up His benevolent Kingdom.
And when that happens, it will truly be “Heaven on Earth”. And every single person on the planet will be a partaker of that glorious peace and the prosperity that comes with it.
Till then there will be temporal seasons of peace, as the one, which we could well experience shortly.
But For A Season, A final Opportunity
Yes, this coming peace, if the agreement is signed in about three weeks time, will be but for a short season and will be giving us, what could well be one final opportunity.
If you are a believing Christian, you need to pray unceasingly for this treaty to be signed.
It could well be our last opportunity to “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man” [Colossians 4:5-6].
God could well give us this one last season to really go out there and share with others, the infallible message of Hope and peace that comes through the Gospel of Grace [1 Corinthians 15:1-4]. They badly need it.
If you are not a believer in Christ Jesus, you can at least stand with the rest in this hope.
But I would like to tell you that when Jesus, the Son of God was dying there on the cross at Calvary, just outside the gates of Jerusalem two thousand and twenty years ago, He was not just a sin-offering on our behalf, He was also a “Peace Offering”.
The Bible tells us that on the cross, “God was in Christ, reconciling (making peace with) the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them;” [2 Corinthians 5:19].
There is nothing that you have to do to to receive your Salvation for God has done it ALL for you.
Just believe that “Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose again for your justification”. It’s personal.
The True Peace-Maker has taken the first step in extending his Hand of Peace towards us.
TAKE IT.
For This Season Will Only Last For A Short While
Biblical prophecy has been “dead-on accurate” to the T. Every ‘I’ has been dotted and every ‘T’ has been crossed with absolute precision and perfection.
Every single event prophesied from hundreds of years ago so far has been fulfilled with perfect timing.
God has never been even a day or moment late, nor a day or moment early.
The final peace treaty, which is yet to come, will be a deceptive one.
It will come, for God has foretold it in His Word.
This “Abraham Accord” is not it.
The final peace agreement which is to come will be a seven year peace treaty between a man, whom the Bible calls the “Anti-Christ” and the nation of Israel, which will be deceived into accepting him as their promised Messiah [Daniel 9:27] and [2 Thessalonians 2:8-12].
So this “Abraham Accord” will be but for a short season. God will keep the powers and principalities at bay during this period.
Once it ends, and it will end, the “powers that be” will start to fire on all cylinders to get its agenda in place.
And when that happens, the world will enter into its worst ever period in human history known as the “great tribulation” [Matthew 24:21].
This will be for a period of seven years and then “the end shall come” [Matthew 24:14].
A tremendous crumb on how Israel is the very geographical place where the short-term and the long-term peace will originate !!! Never quite saw or realized that world peace is and has been linked with Israel !!! Yes indeed the True Peace Maker has put forth His hand. Now it is up to us and our free will !! I hope we believers and all make our choices wisely.
