The ‘Greatest News’ for the entire human race is the “Gospel Of Grace” of Jesus Christ.

In fact, the Word ‘Gospel’, means ‘Good News’.

So what exactly is this ‘Good News’, called ‘The Gospel Of Grace’?

Now if you think about it, ‘good news’, on it’s own, makes no sense, unless there is ‘bad news’. When seen in this light, ‘good news’ brings hope.

Several years ago, while I was reading a book, the author made a statement, which completely captured my attention.

“Hope only makes sense, when a situation is hopeless”.

A “hopeless” situation is ‘bad news’. It is a ‘no way out’ predicament. But let’s say, from out of nowhere, somehow, we receive some real ‘good news’, relating to that particular situation.

What’s the first thing that happens?

We are instantly filled with ‘HOPE’. And this hope has a wonderful ripple effect.

Apart from giving us tremendous relief, it instantaneously regenerates us, gives us strength and motivation. We feel we can conquer mountains.

Now, that would certainly make us feel good, to put it mildly.

So What Is The ‘Bad News’

The Bible shows us that we’re all sinful in our nature. Because of this we have committed all kinds of sin to varying degrees, and done so willingly.

Man is born sinful, and the evidence is all around us in whichever direction we look.

We don’t need to make a list. It would not be possible anyway, for all the ink and paper in the world would not be enough to make that list.

As we look around us, we can gaze in awe at the incredible beauty and awesomeness of creation and nature.

We get carried away for a few moments, in that wonderful world in our minds.

And suddenly, the bubble bursts, as we realize and come to grips with the fact that we, because of sin, have ruined it all.

How low we have truly fallen and continue to fall. And any one who does not recognize this is truly blind.

It is so vitally important that we see this. Maybe, the current Covid -19 pandemic is showing to us today, what we truly need to see.

We need to see how that creation itself is groaning with suffering and pain, because of our fallen nature.

And it has reached a point of no return.

We have been carried away and lost in our world of technology which has been increasing with rapid pace, but have ignored and forsaken the weightier matters of life. How vain and hopeless we truly are.

We need to realize, that today we are paying an extremely heavy price for this unstoppable ‘cancerous disease’ called sin, for which there is no religious, or human remedy.

And so, there will be an ultimate price which we “ALL” will have to pay.

Sin Is Rebellion

For sin is rebellion against God, which has resulted in us being rebellious against our very own fellow men and creation as a whole.

We have been engulfed, entrapped, gripped and possessed with greed at one end of the spectrum, and fear at the other end.

Sin has ‘willfully broken’ every moral spiritual law of God. And the breaking of these laws demand justice.

Though this may sound upsetting, however, it should ‘NOT’ surprise us, for we ‘know fully well’, that when we break a social law, society demands justice, that a price must be paid.

To satisfy the wrath of society, law breaking must be punished. JUSTICE MUST PREVAIL.

And let’s not forget that society is made up of imperfect and sinful men, ‘rightfully’ demanding justice and punishment.

THEN, ‘how much more’ God, Who is Holy, Righteous and Perfect, would rightfully demand Justice and punishment for sin?

And for God’s justice to prevail, the punishment is, must be and will be an “Eternal Hell”, for nothing short of it would satisfy His Wrath.

The Bible Says

For the Bible says, we “all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.” [Romans 3:23]

And, “the wages of sin is ‘death’ (which is an eternal hell).” [Romans 6:23]

This is what we actually deserve.

The bad news is that there is absolutely ‘nothing’ we can do about it and religion in any form or shape has ‘NO ANSWER’.

Religion is just not even remotely equipped to deal with this incurable sin nature of man.

This is truly a ‘HOPELESS’ and a ‘no way out’ predicament we “ALL” find ourselves in. We are “ALL” heading for an eternal doom and THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL.
