There is no comfort in unbelief. How true that is… A heart that believes in nothing can live for nothing, because it sees nothing. It is truly blind.
Hence it can achieve nothing. It brings no motivation. It stops us from being everything we have been created to be and achieve.
Unbelief brings no fulfillment, because it has nothing to fill. It finds nothing that is worth persevering, nothing that is worth sacrificing.
It just goes through the motion of life, living from day to day, but is actually dead.
Unbelief truly is both a great tragedy and a disease.
Many of you reading this, will agree that there have been times in our lives, when we have been attacked with this evil spirit, this evil disease called unbelief. And it has proved to be so destructive. Many of us, for the most part, are victims of this unbelief, because it has influenced and affected the choices we have made.
It has brought regret into our lives, some more than others.
We Have Been Created To Believe
Indeed, we have been created to believe and we need to believe that.
FOR we have also experienced that the moment we start believing in something, that is worth believing, something happens.
Radical changes start to take place in our lives. That is the power of believing.
We gradually find that there is something worth living for, something worth persevering, something worth making sacrifices for.
Its energizing, its motivational, it renews our strength, it renews our mind and it makes us move forward.
Believing makes us reach out for those things which are set before us.
It takes on the challenges of life head on, because it sees the end result.
Yes, we have indeed been created to believe for that is who we truly are. That is our true nature.
That is our true identity, because the Bible tells us that we have been created in the image of GOD, and NOT a monkey.
No doubt, we can all be victims of our circumstances to a certain degree, and one can empathize with that.
We Don’t Need To Stay There
We really don’t need to stay there. There is a way out and believing is the key.
Believing in one’s self, believing in the One Who created us.
It is believing that God does not create junk. Believing that whatever He creates is good. for that is Who He is.
“ Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” [Philippians 3:13-14]
True heart belief is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. It opens doors and achieves the impossible against all odds. That is why the devil always seeks to attack our belief system. If he can dismantle our belief system, he can dismantle our lives. He can get us where he wants us to be, subdued and oppressed.
A heart that believes in Christ, Jesus says, “I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me”. [Philippians 4:13].
FOR “Greater is HE that is in me, than he, that is in the world” [1 John 4:4].
Now That is Comforting.
