CRUMB 0006 – DEAD MEN DON’T TALK

Dead men don’t talk, because they can’t talk.

The point is that if they are dead, they can’t do anything for us.

My parents, for example, once they passed away, their role in my life, in whichever way, ceased.

Sure, they no doubt leave behind a legacy, which we seek to take forward in our lives. But their active role in our life, be it just their presence, ceases.

At the end of my last Crumb – 0005, I had written that, GOD, the Judge of the Universe, has already, “legally” executed a way.

HE has “fully” paid the price for “ALL” our sins, by thought, word and deed. And this is for “ALL” time, PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE.

HE did this by sending His sinless Son, JESUS CHRIST to the Cross to be crucified (the capital punishment of those days), in order to pay that required price on our behalf, and “paid in full” it stands, even today.

And that HE did this in order to “acquit” us, to “JUSTIFY” us.

Does This Stand For Today?

The question is that, does this price which was “paid in full” stand so, even today?

What does the Bible have to say?

Scripture says that, He was “declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:” [Romans 1:4]

He rose from the dead after laying in the tomb for tree days and nights.

And HE even socialized with his disciples for forty days.

Scripture tells us in [1 Corinthians 15:6] that, “he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once;” 

Apart from His disciples, there were more than five hundred people to bear witness to that ‘fact’.

So then JESUS CHRIST does not come under the category of “dead men don’t talk”.

Absolutely yes, HE IS NOT DEAD. HE IS ALIVE AND WELL!

Now Justification

Scripture reveals that Jesus Christ “was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification” [Romans 4:25]

That is “acquittal”.

So how do you and I appropriate this “justification”?

It is by Faith. It is only by believing in ‘the Gospel’ of our salvation as found in [1 Corinthians 15: 1-4]:

“Jesus Christ, died for our sins,  was buried, and rose again” (for our ‘justification’).

That’s the “Good News”,THE Gospel of our salvation and there is “NO OTHER”.

The Bible says, “ For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” [Romans 1:16]

Is that it? Yes, that’s it.

You mean Brother Joshua, that there is nothing else for me to ‘DO’?

NO, there is “NOTHING” else for you to “DO”.  Just believe.

We are instantly “saved”,the moment we believe in the Gospel.

This “SALVATION” is eternal and will never to be revoked.

 SALVATION = FAITH + NOTHING

Here is a good moment to remember that, “Faith ‘must’ be based on knowledge, and knowledge ‘must’ be based on facts.”

However, we must exercise a choice.

Our choice, for we have been created with the “freedom to choose”. Only we can exercise that choice.

You know that you’re not right. Do you need God’s forgiveness? It’s there for the taking, with no strings attached. The Bible says it’s a “free gift” from GOD.

IF yes, then choose to “believe”.
